Harrison and Stuart were in the first group of the day, and they started their round at 10:00 AM following a two-and-a-half-hour delay due to the severe weather created by Tropical Storm Imelda. All of the LGA Women’s Senior competitors showcased a tremendous amount of fortitude playing through difficult weather conditions on Thursday morning. Play was suspended at 12:34 PM due to a dangerous situation. The First Round of competition will resume tomorrow morning, Friday, September 20 at 8 AM. The Championship will be shortened to 18-holes as a result. After nine rain-soaked holes, Harrison and Stuart managed to grind out two over-par 38’s before the suspension of play. In a tie for third sits Pam Moore of Monroe (+5 thru 9-holes) and Bastrop’s Trena Andrews (+5 thru 4). The tight leaderboard should make for an exciting finish on Friday. Koasati Pines at Coushatta played to a par 72 at 5,228 yards.
