Julie Harrison of Baton Rouge won her second Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship on Friday after narrowly defeating Lauren Aillet of Lafayette by one stroke. Harrison shot rounds of 76-72 to claim her second LGA Championship of the season after winning the Women’s Senior Amateur Championship in October. Harrison has now won an incredible 16 LGA Championships (1 Amateur, 2 Mid-Amateur, 8 Senior Amateur and 5 Four-Ball). Shannon Hudson of Vinton finished in solo third place and Catherine Hodson of Baton Rouge finished in solo fourth place.

Koasati Pines at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder was in fantastic condition. Hurricanes Laura and Delta caused significant damage to the property but thanks to the outstanding work of Brent Leblanc and the entire maintenance crew they were able to get the course back to Championship condition. Koasati Pines played to a par 72 at approximately 5,400 yards for the Championship.
