Harrison shot the only even par round in a rain shortened 18-hole championship. Runner-up Mary Lynn Stuart of Shreveport finished five shots back of Harrison. After battling difficult conditions on Thursday morning and ultimately having to suspend play midway through their first round, the ladies resumed play at 7:48 AM on Friday. Harrison and Stuart were tied for the lead at two-over par 38 thru nine holes at the suspension of play on Thursday afternoon. Following the resumption of play, Harrison made three birdies in a four hole stretch on Holes #10-13. The only blemish on Harrison’s back nine was a bogey on the 322-yard par 4 17th hole. Harrison made a brilliant par at the par 5 18th hole, bringing her back nine total to two-under par 34 and an even par 72 18-hole total, cementing the victory. In the Super Senior Division (65 years & older), Overall Championship Runner-up Mary Lynn Stuart of Shreveport took home medalist honors with an impressive five-over par 77. In the Grand Super Senior Division (70 years & older), Slaughter’s Julia McKey earned medalist honors with a twenty-over par 92.   - ![](https://blog.lgagolf.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Julia-McKey-Grand-Super-768x1024.jpg?width=768&height=1024&name=Julia-McKey-Grand-Super-768x1024.jpg) - ![](https://blog.lgagolf.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Mary-Lynn-Super-768x1024.jpg?width=768&height=1024&name=Mary-Lynn-Super-768x1024.jpg) All of the LGA Women’s Senior competitors showcased a tremendous amount of fortitude playing through difficult weather conditions on Thursday morning.
