Fontenot came into the day at nine-under par with Joshua Achord sitting two strokes behind in second place.  The Georgia Tech commit started the day at a slower pace, making one birdie and two bogeys on his first nine holes. He wrapped up the rest of his scorecard with 3 birdies and 2 bogeys on the back nine to secure his spot at the top of the leaderboard at nine-under par with a score of 72.  Landen East of Sulphur sits in second place at 8-under par, and Drew Sliman shot a score of 68 to land him in third. There was a cut in the Overall Boy’s Division and the top 60 players from today’s round will compete tomorrow for the championship title.  There are 18 other players at or below par with 18-holes remaining in the Championship. Maci Williams of Brusly leads the Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship after shooting a second-round four-over par 76 getting her to two-over par for the Championship. Williams finished her second round carding  two birdies, four bogeys, and one double bogey.  Samantha Schultz of Mandeville is in solo second place sitting at six-over par, four shots behind Williams.
