The former LSU Women’s Golf teammates hold a two-shot lead over Sarah Davison of Choudrant and Ashley Tonore of Monroe. Gallagher and Hodge got off to a hot start and were two-under par through their first three holes after back-to-back birdies at the par 5 2nd hole and the par 3 3rd hole. They made six consecutive pars to close out their front nine, making the turn at two-under par 34. Gallagher and Hodge started the back nine with a solid par at the par 4 10th hole. Hodge added a birdie at the par 5 11th hole. Following three consecutive pars, Hodge carded another birdie at the par 4 15th hole. Gallagher finished the round in style with a birdie at the par 4 18th hole, bringing their back nine total to three-under par 33. Gallagher / Hodge and Davison / Tonore were the only teams to finish under par on Tuesday, and they will tee off in the final pairing at 11:00 AM on Wednesday. The LGA also conducts a Net division in its Women’s Four-Ball Championship in which all teams were pre-flighted based upon the October 1, 2019 GHIN Handicap revision. Per the USGA recommendations for players in a four-ball stroke play competition, course handicaps were adjusted to a 95% handicap allowance. Michelle Larson of Baton Rouge and Pam Moore of Monroe are tied with Gallagher and Hodge at five-under par 67 in First Flight.
