Angelle’s pair of 67s are tied for the lowest rounds of the championship thus far. Reigning Louisiana Amateur Champion Greg Berthelot of Baton Rouge also carded a 67 in the first round, and coupled with his 70 on Saturday, puts him at 7-under par for the championship and three shots behind Angelle. Josh Fullilove of Larose has carded consecutive rounds of 69 and is currently in third place at 6-under par. The final pairing of Angelle, Berthelot, and Fullilove are set to tee off at 10:30a.m. in Sunday’s final round. Live scoring is available here: [30th Louisiana Mid-Amateur Championship Event :: Results (golfgenius.com)](https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/3321836) Angelle has only made two total bogeys through 36 holes en route to the top of the leaderboard. He started his second round on the 10th hole and made 9 consecutive pars. He got hot after the turn and proceeded to make back-to-back birdies on holes #1 and #2. His lone bogey of the day came at the par 3 3rd hole but he responded nicely with three consecutive birdies on holes #4, #5, and #6. After making pars on holes #7 and #8, Angelle finished his round in style with a birdie at the par 5 9th to shoot 31 on his inward nine holes. Angelle is seeking his first LGA Championship and will need to stave off a strong field on Sunday to capture that elusive title. 2019 Champion Derek Busby of Ruston is currently in 4th place at 5-under par 139 (69-70). There is a four-way for 5th place at three-under par 141 between Chuck Spears of Pineville (71-70), Jody Moss of Monroe (72-69), Jonathan Jeter of New Orleans (73-68), and Jason Humphries of St. Amant (69-72). The Koasati Pines course played to a par 72 at approximately 6,873 yards on Saturday and the course drew rave reviews from this field of the best amateur golfers in Louisiana over the age of 25. Koasati Pines is hosting the Louisiana Mid-Amateur Championship for the first time in its history, and it will also host the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship Sectional Qualifier on Monday. Starting Times will begin again at 7:30 a.m. off the first tee only on Sunday. 15 players are at even par or better. 61 players made the cut at 8-over par 152. Derek Busby took home the lone skin with an eagle at the par 5 18th hole ($1,020).
