LGA Welcomes Caldwell Country Club and Lake Bruin Golf & Country Club Back as Member Clubs

Lafayette, LA - The Louisiana Golf Association (LGA) is excited to announce the return of two Northeast Louisiana courses to its family of member clubs: Caldwell Country Club in Grayson and Lake Bruin Golf & Country Club in St. Joseph. Both 9-hole facilities, which operate on an 18-hole rotation, offer a unique and enjoyable experience for golfers in the region. As official LGA Member Clubs, both courses now offer golfers the ability to post scores directly through the GHIN platform.


Caldwell Country Club – Grayson, LA

Caldwell Country Club, originally opened in 1971, rejoins the LGA after last being a member in 2007. Conveniently located off US-165, the course has long been adownload (3) recognizable landmark for travelers. Towering pines line the fairways, while small, well-protected greens demand accuracy and finesse.

One of the course’s signature moments comes early: the opening hole, a drivable par 4 playing 292 yards at its longest, tempts big hitters with a classic risk-reward opportunity. On the back side, the dual-use 9th/18th hole presents an engaging finish—either as a 507-yard par 5 or a 359-yard par 4—where fairway positioning is critical due to a strategic stand of trees guarding the dogleg.

Lake Bruin Golf & Country Club – St. Joseph, LA

Lake Bruin G&CC, which was most recently a member in 2021–2022, first opened in 1968. Nestled near the scenic Lake Bruin, the course is a local favorite among campers and weekenders alike. Known for its small greens and strategic water runoff ditches that can snag an errant tee shot, the course provides just enough challengedownload (2) to keep players on their toes.

A highlight of any round here is the 9th/18th hole, a memorable par 3 finish that plays 137 yards from the back tees. The green is severely sloped and surrounded by sharp run-offs, making par a commendable way to end your day.
