Both 9-hole facilities, which operate on an 18-hole rotation, offer a unique and enjoyable experience for golfers in the region. As official LGA Member Clubs, both courses now offer golfers the ability to post scores directly through the **GHIN platform**. --- ### **Caldwell Country Club – Grayson, LA** Caldwell Country Club, originally opened in 1971, rejoins the LGA after last being a member in 2007. Conveniently located off US-165, the course has long been a![download (3)](https://blog.lgagolf.org/hs-fs/hubfs/download%20(3).webp?width=250&height=161&name=download%20(3).webp) recognizable landmark for travelers. Towering pines line the fairways, while small, well-protected greens demand accuracy and finesse. One of the course’s signature moments comes early: the opening hole, a drivable par 4 playing 292 yards at its longest, tempts big hitters with a classic risk-reward opportunity. On the back side, the dual-use **9th/18th hole** presents an engaging finish—either as a 507-yard par 5 or a 359-yard par 4—where fairway positioning is critical due to a strategic stand of trees guarding the dogleg. *Contact for Green Fees: (318) 502-2077* --- ### **Lake Bruin Golf & Country Club – St. Joseph, LA** Lake Bruin G&CC, which was most recently a member in 2021–2022, first opened in 1968. Nestled near the scenic Lake Bruin, the course is a local favorite among campers and weekenders alike. Known for its small greens and strategic water runoff ditches that can snag an errant tee shot, the course provides just enough challenge![download (2)](https://blog.lgagolf.org/hs-fs/hubfs/download%20(2).webp?width=337&height=82&name=download%20(2).webp) to keep players on their toes. A highlight of any round here is the **9th/18th hole**, a memorable par 3 finish that plays 137 yards from the back tees. The green is severely sloped and surrounded by sharp run-offs, making par a commendable way to end your day. *Contact for Green Fees: (318) 766-4303* --- ### **What Does This Mean for You as an LGA Member?** With Caldwell CC and Lake Bruin G&CC now part of the LGA network, **your membership goes further**: - **Score Posting Access** – You can now post scores from both courses directly into your GHIN handicap index, keeping your game accurate and up to date. - **More Places to Play** – Whether you're traveling through Northeast Louisiana or planning a lake weekend, you’ve got new member-supported options for high-quality, affordable golf. - **Support for Local Clubs** – Every round you play at an LGA Member Club helps grow the game at the grassroots level and supports Louisiana’s golf community. --- If you’re passing near either of these courses this summer, stop in and play a quick 9—you won’t be disappointed. **Welcome back, Caldwell CC and Lake Bruin G&CC!** ## **For media inquiries, please contact:** Maili Bartz Director of Marketing and Communications maili@lgagolf.org --- #### Tag: [News](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news) #### Share: - [Follow us on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.lgagolf.org/lga-welcomes-caldwell-country-club-and-lake-bruin-golf-country-club-back-as-member-clubs) - [Follow us on Twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/lga-welcomes-caldwell-country-club-and-lake-bruin-golf-country-club-back-as-member-clubs&text=LGA%20Welcomes%20Caldwell%20Country%20Club%20and%20Lake%20Bruin%20Golf%20&%20Country%20Club%20Back%20as%20Member%20Clubs) - [Follow us on Linkedin](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/lga-welcomes-caldwell-country-club-and-lake-bruin-golf-country-club-back-as-member-clubs) - [Follow us on Pinterest](http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/lga-welcomes-caldwell-country-club-and-lake-bruin-golf-country-club-back-as-member-clubs&text=LGA%20Welcomes%20Caldwell%20Country%20Club%20and%20Lake%20Bruin%20Golf%20&%20Country%20Club%20Back%20as%20Member%20Clubsdescription=Lafayette,%20LA%20-%20The%20Louisiana%20Golf%20Association%20(LGA)%20is%20excited%20to%20announce%20the%20return%20of%20two%20Northeast%20Louisiana%20courses%20to%20its%20family%20of%20member%20clubs:[...]&media=https://23548262.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/23548262/Hubspot%20Newsletter%20Images%20%2814%29.png) --- #### [Louisiana Golf Association Welcomes DeAngelo Hines as 2025 Tournament Operations Intern Previous Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/louisiana-golf-association-welcomes-deangelo-hines-as-2025-tournament-operations-intern) #### [Eventia Sports & Entertainment Group Partners with Louisiana Golf Association to Bring Members Exclusive Access to Unforgettable Golf Events Next Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/eventia-sports-entertainment-group-partners-with-louisiana-golf-association-to-bring-members-exclusive-access-to-unforgettable-golf-events) ### Leave a Reply --- ## Related Posts [News](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news) [Maili Bartz](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/maili-bartz) 18 August, 2025 #### [A Hole-in-One?
