Baton Rouge, LA — June 24, 2019
Two SEC golfers are headed for a Quarterfinal showdown after winning a pair of matches at The Country Club of Louisiana on an overcast Monday in the 91st Louisiana Women’s Amateur Championship. Medalist and number one seed Brooke Tyree of Sulphur will face Alden Wallace of Shreveport in one of four Quarterfinal matches scheduled for Tuesday morning. Tyree plays college golf for Texas A&M and Wallace plays for LSU. Both players are coming into this highly anticipated match in excellent form after winning in dominate fashion on Monday. Other Quarterfinal matches on tap for Tuesday morning are: Cassidy Lambert of Greta (#13) vs. 2005 Kay Daniel of Covington (#5), defending champion Abbey Daniel of Covington (#2) vs. Rachel Dupree of Shreveport (#10), and 2016 Champion Mary Chauvin of Baton Rouge (#3) vs. Janie Morrison of Rayne (#11).
