Lafayette, LA - The Louisiana Golf Association is pleased to announce the new hiring of Abby Settoon as the P.J. Boatwright Marketing and Communications Intern for 2026. Settoon is a native of St. Amant and a recent graduate from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is excited to expand her professional experience through this year's internship helping the LGA promote and advance golf in Louisiana.
During her time at UL Lafayette, Settoon studied Strategic Communications and Promotional Management. Her academic background and real world experiences has equipped her with a strong foundation in marketing, management, and public relations, making her a valuable addition to the LGA team.
Settoon began her professional journey at Louisiana Folk Roots as their summer semester intern for social media. In this role, she gained hands-on experience in promotional video editing, flyer design, website editing, and the creation of promotional displays.
The Louisiana Golf Association is excited to welcome Settoon to the team as the 2026 P.J. Boatwright Intern. She looks forward to further developing her skills throughout this internship in media and communications enhancing the golfing experience for players and fans throughout Louisiana.
