Luke Haskew of Baton Rouge leads by one stroke over Lake Juban of Ruston after 54 holes at Squire Creek Country in Choudrant, LA. Haskew has been consistent throughout the Championship shooting rounds of 71, 70, 71 to sit at four-under par 212. Haskew, a rising senior at University Lab School in Baton Rouge, is looking to become one of the youngest winners in the Championship’s history. Eli Ortego of Broussard is two strokes back of Haskew at two-under par 214. Ortego finished runner-up at the 101st Louisiana Amateur Championship at Bayou Oaks at City Park. The Champion has come out of the final group in 15 of the 17 years. Preston Smith of Shreveport is the only other player in the field under par after three rounds of play at one-under par 215. Grayson Gilbert of Monroe and Nicholas Arcement of Thibodaux are both tied for 5th at even par. Two-time defending Champion John Humphries is tied for 7th at one-over par 217. The Tom Fazio designed Squire Creek Country Club course played to a par 72 at approximately 6,900 yards on Saturday. The challenging layout and course set-up provided a stern but fair test. Squire Creek is in immaculate condition for this championship, and the golf course drew rave reviews from this field of the top amateur golfers in the state. Squire Creek Country Club, the #1 rated course in Louisiana by Golf Digest, is hosting the Louisiana Amateur Championship for the first time in its history. Sunday’s starting times will begin at 7:30 a.m., off the first tee only. The leaders will tee off last at 10:30 a.m. [Click here](https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/2765002)for complete Third Round Results. [Click here](https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/2765000)to view Final Round Pairings. --- #### Tag: [News Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news-archives) [LGA Championships](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/lga-championships) #### Share: - [Follow us on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.lgagolf.org/luke-haskew-leads-after-third-round-at-102nd-louisiana-amateur-championship) - [Follow us on Twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/luke-haskew-leads-after-third-round-at-102nd-louisiana-amateur-championship&text=Luke%20Haskew%20Leads%20After%20Third%20Round%20at%20102nd%20Louisiana%20Amateur%20Championship) - [Follow us on Linkedin](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/luke-haskew-leads-after-third-round-at-102nd-louisiana-amateur-championship) - [Follow us on Pinterest](http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/luke-haskew-leads-after-third-round-at-102nd-louisiana-amateur-championship&text=Luke%20Haskew%20Leads%20After%20Third%20Round%20at%20102nd%20Louisiana%20Amateur%20Championshipdescription=&media=) --- #### [Lake Juban Leads 102nd Louisiana Amateur Championship After Second Round Play Previous Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/lake-juban-leads-102nd-louisiana-amateur-championship-after-second-round-play) #### [Luke Haskew Wins 102nd Louisiana Amateur Championship Next Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/luke-haskew-wins-102nd-louisiana-amateur-championship) ### Leave a Reply --- ## Related Posts [LGA Championships](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/lga-championships) [Admin](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/admin) 20 June, 2026 #### [Evelynn Artieta Wins 98th Louisiana Women's Amateur Championship](https://blog.lgagolf.org/evelynn-artieta-wins-98th-louisiana-womens-amateur-championship) Evelynn Artieta Wins 98th Louisiana Amateur Championship [Read More](https://blog.lgagolf.org/evelynn-artieta-wins-98th-louisiana-womens-amateur-championship) [LGA Championships](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/lga-championships) [Maili Bartz](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/maili-bartz) 06 September, 2025 #### [Williams and Artieta Lead First Round of 24th Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship](https://blog.lgagolf.org/williams-and-artieta-lead-first-round-of-24th-louisiana-womens-four-ball-championship) A look into the first round of the 24th Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship held at The Island… [Read More](https://blog.lgagolf.org/williams-and-artieta-lead-first-round-of-24th-louisiana-womens-four-ball-championship) [LGA Championships](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/lga-championships), [News](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news) [Laura D'Amico](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/lau) 11 August, 2025 #### [Tyler Ledet Fires 68 to Claim Medalist Honors at U.S. Mid-Amateur Local Qualifier at Bayou DeSiard](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tyler-ledet-fires-68-to-claim-medalist-honors-at-u.s.-mid-amateur-local-qualifier-at-bayou-desiard) Monroe, LA – Tyler Ledet of Lafayette, Louisiana, carded a 4-under-par 68 on Monday at Bayou… [Read More](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tyler-ledet-fires-68-to-claim-medalist-honors-at-u.s.-mid-amateur-local-qualifier-at-bayou-desiard) Louisiana Golf Association The LGA’s mission is to foster the enhancement and expansion of amateur golf through the development of member and information services, the promotion of opportunities for all who want to play, and the protection of the game’s integrity and valued traditions.  The LGA is licensed by the United States Golf Association as the “Allied Golf Association” of record for the state of Louisiana.
