Boatwright Intern for 2020. This internship will allow Maci to gain experience in the many aspects of golf administration. The responsibilities of the intern will include assisting with office administration, championships, member services, course rating, and social media. Maci is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana and graduated from the University of New Orleans in December 2019. She majored in Theatre Arts and recently returned from New Orleans after wrapping up a production at Rivertown Theatre as an Assistant Stage Manager. For the past two and a half years she has worked as an IT assistant in the business building at UNO. Maci has always had a passion for golf, and she is looking forward to learning more about the sport as a business and a hobby. She is excited to start her journey with the LGA team! The USGA established the P.J. Boatwright Jr. Internship Program in 1991. Named for the late P.J. Boatwright Jr., former Executive Director and Director of Rules and Competitions for the USGA, the program is a wonderful continuance of his legacy and service to the game. It is specifically designed to give experience to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration, while helping Allied Golf Associations in the promotion of amateur golf on a short-term, entry-level basis. Maci will also get the opportunity to attend the 2020 Boatwright Intern Summit at the USGA Headquarters in Liberty Corner, New Jersey in May. Maci’s internship is eleven months in length, and her start day is February 5th. “I feel truly blessed to have an opportunity to work among such talented individuals,” said Maci. “The best part about this job is that I’m going to be doing something that I love.” Maci is the LGA’s first intern to be hired in 2020. The LGA is currently accepting applications for a 2020 summer / 3-month intern, and that application can be found here: [https://lgagolf.org/employment-opportunities/](https://lgagolf.org/employment-opportunities/)   The Louisiana Golf Association is the governing body for amateur golf in the state of Louisiana and has served in that capacity since 1920. It serves approximately 90 member clubs and 14,000 individual members. The LGA is licensed by the United States Golf Association as the “Allied Golf Association” of record for the state of Louisiana. Its offices are in Lafayette. --- #### Tag: [News Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news-archives) [News](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news) #### Share: - [Follow us on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.lgagolf.org/maci-roberts-to-serve-as-lgas-2020-p-j-boatwright-intern) - [Follow us on Twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/maci-roberts-to-serve-as-lgas-2020-p-j-boatwright-intern&text=Maci%20Roberts%20to%20Serve%20as%20LGA’s%202020%20P.J.%20Boatwright%20Intern) - [Follow us on Linkedin](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/maci-roberts-to-serve-as-lgas-2020-p-j-boatwright-intern) - [Follow us on Pinterest](http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/maci-roberts-to-serve-as-lgas-2020-p-j-boatwright-intern&text=Maci%20Roberts%20to%20Serve%20as%20LGA’s%202020%20P.J.%20Boatwright%20Interndescription=Lafayette,%20LA—February%205,%202020%20The%20Louisiana%20Golf%20Association%20(LGA)%20is%20pleased%20to%20announce%20the%20hiring%20of%20Maci%20Roberts%20as%20its%20P.J.%20Boatwright%20Intern%20for%202020.[...]&media=) --- #### [LGA NAMES JACOB OAKS NEW DIRECTOR OF CHAMPIONSHIP OPERATIONS Previous Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/lga-names-jacob-oaks-new-director-of-championship-operations) #### [CALLAWAY GOSSLEE AND JAKE MARLER LEAD SAM BURNS JUNIOR 4-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP Next Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/callaway-gosslee-and-jake-marler-lead-sam-burns-junior-4-ball-championship) ### Leave a Reply --- ## Related Posts [News](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news) [Maili Bartz](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/maili-bartz) 18 August, 2025 #### [A Hole-in-One?
