Baronet, a multiple time Senior Amateur Champion, fired a three-day total of thirteen-under par, 203, good enough for a four-shot victory at OakWing Golf Club. Last year’s runner-up, Robby McWilliams of Benton will be competing again this year. McWilliams, an LGA Mid-Amateur Champion in 2016, and four-time runner-up in that event will surely be in contention again this year. Some of the notables in this year’s include Tommy Brennan of Covington, 2015 Senior Amateur Champion and seven-time LGA Mid-Amateur Champion (1995, 1996, 1997, 2005, 2006, 2007, & 2008). 1993 LGA Amateur Champion and 2002 LGA Mid-Amateur Champion Scott Haynie of Brusly is competing in this year’s championship. Robert Shelton of Lafayette, the 1969 LGA Junior Amateur and 1972 Amateur Champion and a two-time runner-up in this championship. He looks to add his fist Senior title this weekend. Other notables include Ken Buchan of Monroe, 2016 LGA Senior Amateur Champion and 2018 LGA Senior Four-Ball Champion, Robert McCusker of Baton Rouge 2014 LGA Senior Amateur Champion, and multiple time LGA Senior Amateur Champions John Davis of Lafayette (2006, 2008) and Bob Cooper of Monroe (2007, 2010). In addition to the Men’s competition, the LGA will be conducting it’s first Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship following the unification of the Louisiana Women’s Golf Association and the LGA. This championship is the first of five Women’s Championships that will be conducted this year. Highlighting this year’s field is Kay Daniel of Covington, Women’s Mid-Am Champion three years running, and Money Hill Women’s Club Champion multiple times over, Daniel is looking for four-in-a-row this year. Also, in the field Metairie’s Jane Rosen a recently reinstated amateur and champion of the 2018 LGA Net Amateur, Women’s Division. Rosen, shot a gross 157, net 143 in route to an eight-shot victory. Local favorites Nancy Conravey and Becky Bordelon will also be teeing it up this week. Conravey, is a ten-time Women’s Senior Club Champion at Money Hill, safe to say that her local knowledge will come in handy this week. With so many brilliant Amateur golfers in this year’s field, it’s sure to be an exciting week at Money Hill Golf & Country Club Country Club. The course will play to a par of 72 at slightly less than 6,600 yards for the Senior Amateur Championship. The Women’s Mid-Amateur course will play to a par 72 at 5,500 yards. Money Hill Golf & Country Club Founded in 1998, is a Ron Garl design. The golf course is in great condition for this field. The Women’s Mid-Amateur and Super Senior Championship will be conducted Thursday and Friday, May 16th & 17th. The low 60 scorers and ties after 36 holes will survive the cut in the Overall Senior Amateur Championship, with the leaders going off the first tee at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.  Play will get underway Thursday morning, May 16, at 7:30 a.m., with the Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship leading the pack off the 1st & 10th tee.[Click here](https://www.golfgenius.com/pages/1701835) to view first round pairings for the Women’s Mid-Amateur.
