The USGA announced today, April 12th that Peyton Manning will represent the 2023 U.S. Amateur Championship as the Chair of Cherry Hills Country Club which he has been a member. The Championship will be hosted on Aug. 14-20. 

Louisiana Native, Peyton Manning is known for having an impressive career in the NFL. From being a two-time Super Bowl champion, first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer and breaking many major NFL records he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time ! 

Growing up in New Orleans, Manning has had an illustrious 18-season career as the quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos. Manning has always shown his interest in golf throughout his career by playing alongside legendary golfers such as Jack Nicklaus, Luke Donald and Tiger Woods. 

“I am honored to represent the state of Colorado, the city of Denver and Cherry Hills as the honorary chair of the 2023 U.S. Amateur,” said Manning. “As someone who has great enthusiasm for not only the game of golf, but also for competitive athletics and all the great things that can be learned through sports, I’m thrilled to have a role in this championship. I’m confident Colorado’s golf fans will join me in welcoming the game’s best amateur players to Denver.”
