She won holes 13 and 16 to punch her ticket to the Final. Tyree and Montoya tied the first three holes of their match before Tyree took a 1 up lead after a birdie at the par 3 4th hole.  Both competitors made four consecutive pars, and then Montoya tied the match with a par at the 9th hole.  Tyree birdied the first two holes to start the back nine, and took a 2 up lead.  Montoya won the par 4 12th hole with a birdie.  Both players made a bogey at the par 4 13th hole.  Tyree birdied the par 5 14th hole to go 2 up, and Montoya responded again with a birdie at the par 3 15th hole to cut the deficit to 1 hole.  The match would end with three straight pars from Montoya and Tyree. Tyree, a rising senior at Texas A & M, is looking to capture her first Louisiana Women’s Amateur Championship.  She finished runner-up last year at Tchefuncta Country Club.  If Tyree wins on Wednesday, she would earn her fourth LGA Championship, having also won the Louisiana Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship (2016 & 2017) and the Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship in 2017.  Meral is a rising high school senior, and she’s no stranger to the winner’s circle either.  Meral won the 2020 Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship with Liza Lapeyre, and she’s won five Louisiana Junior Golf Tour events since 2019. Marge Richter of Monroe is the First Flight Champion.  She won the Final 3 & 2 over Carla Thompson of Woodworth.  Second Flight Champion is Debbie Magee of Bossier City.  She won the Final 3 & 2 over Sandy Renner of Winnsboro. First Flight Consolation Bracket winner is Pam Fossett of Lake Charles. Second Flight Consolation Bracket winner is Cheryl Boutte of Alexandria.  Lauren Aillet of Lafayette and Cassidy Lambert of Greta will square off in the Championship Flight Consolation Final on Wednesday.
