Sophia Macias Wins Medalist Honors in Stroke Play Qualifier

Zachary, Louisiana – June 19, 2026

It was a 12-hour day of golf yesterday, battling lightning delays. Sophia Macias won medalist honors in the stroke play qualifier with a 9-hole score of 6 under par 30. Despite the weather, players were able to wrap up the qualifying 9-hole round and the first round of Match Play. Those results are shown below. 

Match Play round 1 bracket, continuing today with the second round.

We are also conducting a First Flight Championship; the second round starts today.

Today, we will continue on with the 98th Louisiana Women's Amateur at Beaver Creek Golf Course in Zachary, Louisiana. Tee times will start at 7:30.
