Tee times began this morning at 7:00 AM off the 1st and 10th tee. The course played to a par 72 at 6,721 yards for the Overall Boys Division and approximately 5,675 yards for the Overall Girls and Boys 11-13 Division. ![](https://blog.lgagolf.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/LJGT-Logo-2019-1024x409-Jan-07-2025-08-57-11-5068-PM.jpg?width=1024&height=409&name=LJGT-Logo-2019-1024x409-Jan-07-2025-08-57-11-5068-PM.jpg) **Avondale, LA** – **Kyle Traub** of Metairie managed to take home the trophy in his hometown of New Orleans after becoming the champion of the LJGT at TPC Louisiana tournament. There was initially a three-way tie in the Overall Boys division of the tournament between **Traub**, **Drew Prieto** of Baton Rouge, and **Duke Nitcher** of New Orleans after they all finished today’s final round at an even par, 72. The three then went into a playoff on the par 5, hole 18 at TPC. The hole resulted in **Traub** making birdie, **Prieto** making par, and **Nitcher** having an unfortunate bogey, making Traub the champion for this division. Looking into today’s round, **Traub** was in high spirits coming out three-under par until he reached the 18th hole where he had a brutal triple bogey that sent him into the playoff. This is going to be the champ’s last official LJGT tournament as he wraps up the summer and gets ready to play collegiate golf at Nicholls State University. In the Overall Girls division, to no surprise, **Jade Neves** of New Orleans took home the trophy after shooting a three-over par, 75, and finishing the tournament at five-under par. The runner-up is **Sara Carter Hare** of Spanish Fort, Alabama, with a final overall score of 14-over par, and **Morgan Goodeau** finished in third at 15-over par. There was a little shift in the final leaderboard for the Boys 11-13 division with **Madden Baughman** of Poplarville, Mississippi, finishing at the top at four-under par. Baughman had four birdies and two bogeys throughout his final round. Finishing as runner-up is **EJ Spangler** of Youngsville at two-under, and in third is **Reed Winkler** of Shreveport at one-under. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to TPC Louisiana for hosting this wonderful event. Your hospitality and the exceptional quality of the course provided an unforgettable experience for all the participants. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to junior golf. **For media inquiries and further information, please contact:** Maili Bartz Director of Marketing and Communications Email: maili@lgagolf.org --- #### Tag: [LJGT](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/ljgt) [News](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news) #### Share: - [Follow us on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.lgagolf.org/traub-wins-his-last-ljgt-tournament-at-tpc-louisiana) - [Follow us on Twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/traub-wins-his-last-ljgt-tournament-at-tpc-louisiana&text=Traub%20Wins%20His%20Last%20LJGT%20Tournament%20at%20TPC%20Louisiana) - [Follow us on Linkedin](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/traub-wins-his-last-ljgt-tournament-at-tpc-louisiana) - [Follow us on Pinterest](http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/traub-wins-his-last-ljgt-tournament-at-tpc-louisiana&text=Traub%20Wins%20His%20Last%20LJGT%20Tournament%20at%20TPC%20Louisianadescription=July%2024,%202024%20|%20Maili%20Bartz&media=https://23548262.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/23548262/Imported_Blog_Media/final-round-ljgt-at-tpc.png) --- #### [Neves Goes Eight Under During First Round of LJGT at TPC Louisiana Previous Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/neves-goes-eight-under-during-first-round-of-ljgt-at-tpc-louisiana) #### [Williams Leads on Home Course at LJGT at University Club Next Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/williams-leads-on-home-course-at-ljgt-at-university-club) ### Leave a Reply --- ## Related Posts [News](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news) [Maili Bartz](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/maili-bartz) 18 August, 2025 #### [A Hole-in-One?
