Weather Suspends Second Round at 37th Louisiana Senior Amateur Championship

Lake Charles, LA – Play in the second round of the 37th Louisiana Senior Amateur Championship was suspended on Friday, May 1 due to dangerous weather and unplayable course conditions.

The final round of the Overall Championship will be on Saturday, May 2, with tee times beginning at 8:00 AM off holes No. 1 and No. 10. The Overall Championship will now be contested as a 36-hole event, and there will be no cut.

Due to the weather-related adjustments, the Super Senior and Legends divisions were shortened to an 18-hole championship based off of first round scores. Final results for those divisions are listed below.

Super Senior Division
Champion: Bill Land (E)
Runner-Up: Randy Goff (+2)
Third Place: Luke Scobel (+3)

Legends Division
Champion: David Hebert (-2)
Runner-Up: Hal Wright (+1)
Third Place: Mike Walpole (+2) (Scorecard Playoff)
