Williams and Artieta Lead First Round of 24th Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship

24 players competed in the first round of the 24th Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship held at The Island Golf Course in Plaquemine, Louisiana on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Tee times began as a shotgun start off of holes 14-18 & 1 this morning at 8:00 AM. The course played to a par 72 at 5,329 yards for the overall field.

Plaquemine, LA – The 24th Louisiana Women’s Four-Ball Championship kicked off today at The Island Golf Course. The morning started off a bit chilly but soon gave way to sunny skies and a mild breeze. A total of 12 teams competed, with Maci Williams of Brusly and Evelynn Artieta of Denham Springs finishing at nine-under par, 63 after their first 18 holes. This duo carded in 9 birdies from the first round with only and zero bogeys, positioning themselves at the top of the leaderboard.

One shot back at eight-under par are Julie Harrison of Baton Rouge and Kie McNabb of DeRidder. This duo had an impressive round, tallying eight birdies and also zero bogeys to round out their day. Sitting in third at four-under par are Nicole Crochet of Baton Rouge and Hannah Schorr of Broussard.

There are also three flighted divisions for this championship.  The following is the leaderboard for each division:

First Flight:

1. Julie Harrison and Kie McNabb   (-12)
2. Maci Williams and Evelynn Artieta   (-10)
3. Nicole Crochet and Hannah Schorr (-9)


Second Flight:
1. Dawn Watson  and Amanda Rothrock (-11)
2. Darleen Thibodeaux  and Mari Pastor  (-9)
3. Tina Chin-Griffin and Celeste Harris (-7)


Third Flight:
1. April Prestenbach and Tammeryn Smith (-12)
2. Angela Colombo  and Regina King  (-8)
3. Leila Carino  and Rene Alonzo (-5)
