Williams, playing on her home course, showed great confidence, tallying 7 birdies and only one bogey and double bogey in the first 18-holes, with a bogey-free back nine. Her recent victory in the 58th Girls’ Louisiana Junior Amateur Championship adds to her momentum, and she also leads in the race for LJGT Girls’ Player of the Year. Hudson Partin of Denham Springs takes the lead in the Overall Boys’ Division after round one of the championship with an impressive score of two-under par (70). His solid performance featured two birdies and an eagle, with only two bogeys in the first 18-holes. Defending champion Dax Reaux follows closely in second place, at even par. Meanwhile, a five-way tie for third position at one over par includes David Marsh of Baton Rouge, Alston Manne of Baton Rouge, Carter Schmitt of Baton Rouge, Drew Sliman of Lafayette, and Kye Hanks of Lake Charles. In the Boys’ 11-13 Division, Parker Greene of Mandeville and Hudson Greene of Bossier City share the top spot with identical scores of 73. Both players recorded three birdies and four bogeys each. Wayne Kabrich of Mandeville trails the Greene boys by one stroke, making the final outcome of the championship unpredictable. Tee times for the final round will begin tomorrow, August 2nd, at 9:15 AM off of the 1st tee. The University Club is a 7,700 Par 72 Championship-Caliber course designed by David Toms and Jim Lipe. It was designed to challenge the best while offering a course that members can enjoy daily. The design team took advantage of the natural topography keeping in mind the Louisiana Wetlands that surround this challenging design.  It is a private facility for golf enthusiasts looking for a challenging experience on a premier golf course with exceptional service that can be shared by friends and family alike.  Built to be the permanent HOME OF LSU GOLF, The University Club is the place where Tiger Traditions will be shared and created by friends and family alike. This championship was conducted by the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. --- #### Tag: [News Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news-archives) [LJGT Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/ljgt-archives) #### Share: - [Follow us on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.lgagolf.org/williams-greene-and-partin-lead-round-one-of-ljgt-at-university-club) - [Follow us on Twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/williams-greene-and-partin-lead-round-one-of-ljgt-at-university-club&text=Williams,%20Greene,%20and%20Partin%20Lead%20Round%20One%20of%20LJGT%20at%20University%20Club) - [Follow us on Linkedin](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/williams-greene-and-partin-lead-round-one-of-ljgt-at-university-club) - [Follow us on Pinterest](http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=https://blog.lgagolf.org/williams-greene-and-partin-lead-round-one-of-ljgt-at-university-club&text=Williams,%20Greene,%20and%20Partin%20Lead%20Round%20One%20of%20LJGT%20at%20University%20Clubdescription=Round%20one%20results%20of%20the%20Louisiana%20Junior%20Golf%20Tour%20at%20University%20Club%20Championship%20held%20at%20University%20Club%20in%20Baton%20Rouge,%20Louisiana%20on%20Tuesday,%20August%201st,[...]&media=) --- #### [LJGT August Player of the Month: Logan Jensen Previous Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/ljgt-august-player-of-the-month-logan-jensen) #### [Hanks, Williams, and Greene Claim Championship Titles at LJGT at University Club Next Post](https://blog.lgagolf.org/hanks-williams-and-greene-claim-championship-titles-at-ljgt-at-university-club) ### Leave a Reply --- ## Related Posts [News Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news-archives), [LJGT](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/ljgt), [LJGT Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/ljgt-archives) [Admin](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/admin) 23 March, 2024 #### [Sliman Tied for First After First Round of Lake Charles Spring Classic](https://blog.lgagolf.org/sliman-tied-for-first-after-first-round-of-lake-charles-spring-classic) March 23, 2024 | Maili Bartz [Read More](https://blog.lgagolf.org/sliman-tied-for-first-after-first-round-of-lake-charles-spring-classic) [News Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news-archives), [LJGT Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/ljgt-archives) [Admin](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/admin) 30 September, 2023 #### [Benton Boys Tied at the Top after First Round of LJGT Tour Championship](https://blog.lgagolf.org/benton-boys-tied-at-the-top-after-first-round-of-ljgt-tour-championship) September 30, 2023 – Alexandria, Louisiana [Read More](https://blog.lgagolf.org/benton-boys-tied-at-the-top-after-first-round-of-ljgt-tour-championship) [Admin](https://blog.lgagolf.org/author/admin) 16 September, 2023 [News Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/news-archives), [LJGT Archives](https://blog.lgagolf.org/tag/ljgt-archives) #### [Team Louisiana Takes the Lead After Day One of 2023 Junior River Cup](https://blog.lgagolf.org/team-louisiana-takes-the-lead-after-day-one-of-2023-junior-river-cup) Kye Hanks and Drew Prieto analyze a tee shot from the morning round.
