Alexandria, LA – The 38th Louisiana Senior Four-Ball Championship produced a finish worthy of the stage at Links on the Bayou. After 36 holes, two teams were deadlocked at the top, requiring a sudden-death playoff on the 18th hole to decide the champions.
In the end, it was Bart Dornier of Metairie and Ken Buchan of Monroe who walked away with the pair of trophies. Their team capped a bogey-free championship with a final-round 63 to reach 15-under 129, tying Rod Baronet of Lecompte and Robby McWilliams of Benton. On the playoff hole, Dornier rolled in a birdie putt on the closing green to seal the victory and complete an impressive two days of clean, steady golf.
Baronet and McWilliams finished as runners-up at 129, while Bob Cooper and Stan Humphries of Monroe took third at 13-under 131.
In the Super Senior Division, it was déjà vu at the top. Joe Ellis Michael of Homer and Scott Morgan of Benton backed up their 2024 victory at Beaver Creek Golf Course with another title run. The defending champions posted rounds of 67–66 for 11-under 133, good for a one-shot win over Bill Land of Lafayette and Michael Scurria of Baton Rouge. Three teams shared third at 135: Hal Wright of Shreveport and Wade Botts of Marksville, Tim Melancon and Jim Adams of Baton Rouge, and Randy Goff of St. Francisville with Steven Inzenga of Baton Rouge.
With a playoff finish in the Overall and back-to-back champions in the Super Seniors, the 38th Louisiana Senior Four-Ball once again delivered on its reputation as one of the state’s most competitive senior championships.
The Louisiana Golf Association extends its gratitude to Links on the Bayou and its staff for their hospitality and excellent course conditions throughout the championship.
