Lafayette, Louisiana – The Louisiana Golf Association is proud to welcome Dan Williams to the association as the newest USGA P.J. Boatwright Operations Intern for the 2026 season.
"My name is Daniel Williams, and I am originally for Denver, Colorado. I am currently a Marketing student at Louisiana State University with a concentration in Professional Sales and plan to graduate in December 2026. Golf has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I played competitively in high school, and the game has taught me a lot about discipline and hard work. Some of my favorite memories and friendships have come through golf, which is why I am excited to be involved with the Louisiana Golf Association. Outside of golf, I have gained experience in sales and business through previous roles that have helped me develop strong communication and relationship building skills. I am excited to join the LGA as a P.J Boatwright Operations Intern and look forward to learning more about the behind-the-scenes side of the game while helping support and grow amateur golf throughout Louisiana." -Dan Williams
During his time at LSU, he has founded Drift Golf Co. and has a concentration in sales. He has valuable experience in sales relations and customer-focused business operations. As a Boatwright Intern, Dan will assist with the LGA’s operations efforts along with other association initiatives throughout the season.
“I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your organization while continuing to grow my experience in the golf industry,” said Williams.
The USGA Boatwright Internship Program is designed to give young professionals the opportunity to gain experience in golf administration and championship operations while working alongside Allied Golf Associations across the country.
