72 players competed in round one of the 26th Louisiana Net Amateur Championship. Tee times for the morning wave began at 7:30 AM off the 1st tee. The final group finished right on time at 3:40 PM. The course played to a par 72 at 6,405 yards for the Mens’ Division and 5197 yards for the Womens’ Division.

Carencro, LA – In the final round of the 26th Louisiana Net Amateur Championship, Jared Fontenot of Lafayette surged to the top to claim the overall title, finishing at an impressive six-under net for the championship. Fontenot posted steady rounds of 68 and 70 for a two-day total of 138.
Finishing as runner-up for the overall championship was Tyler Branch of Bossier City, who made a remarkable climb up the leaderboard with the low round of the day, a 64, to close at five-under net (75-64–139). Taking third place in the overall division was Bryan McCullough of Welsh, who delivered back-to-back rounds of 70 to finish at four-under net (70-70–140).
In the Women’s Division, April Prestenbach of Baton Rouge held steady to capture the title at the 26th Louisiana Net Amateur Championship. Prestenbach entered the final round with the lead and, despite carding a 76 on Sunday, closed the championship at +3 net (71-76–147) to secure a three-shot victory.
Tina Chin-Griffin of Port Allen made a strong push with one of the day’s lower rounds, a net 74, but ultimately finished runner-up at +6 net (76-74–150). Rounding out the top three was Nancy Knapp of Baton Rouge, who signed for back-to-back improved play, closing with a net 74 to finish at +14 net (84-74–158).

In the Net Club Team Championship, Querbes/Huntington Golf Club of Bossier City and Shreveport captured the title with a team total of five-under (215-212–427).
