Louisiana Golf Association Welcomes DeAngelo Hines as 2025 Tournament Operations Intern

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana Golf Association (LGA) is pleased to announce the addition of DeAngelo Hines as its 2025 Tournament Operations Intern. A proud native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Hines brings a strong academic foundation and valuable hands-on experience to the LGA team.

Currently pursuing a double major in Sports Management and Elementary Education at the University of West Georgia, Hines has demonstrated a deep commitment to both education and athletics. He serves as a Student Assistant for West Georgia's Athletics Department, gaining first-hand insight into the daily operations of collegiate sports.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Hines has worked in various professional sports settings, including as a Supervisor at East Lake PGA Superstore, a member of the Talladega NASCAR Event Staff, and most recently as a Tournament Operations Assistant for the Gulf South Conference. His background reflects a well-rounded knowledge of sports administration and a passion for creating exceptional experiences for athletes and fans alike.

"We are excited for DeAngelo to join the LGA team this summer," said LGA Executive Director Logan Ray. "His work ethic, positive attitude, and love for sports will help us elevate our operations. DeAngelo will be exposed to all facets of golf administration through this internship with us, and it's a tremendous opportunity for him to develop and further his career goals."

The LGA is confident that Hines’ diverse experience and passion for sports will make a meaningful contribution to the association’s mission of growing and supporting the game of golf in Louisiana.
