Sophia Macias and Evelynn Artieta both won if their respective matches and both are looking to win their first Louisiana Women's Amateur.
Macias took down the defending champion Jade Neves 1 up. She is the number 1 seed after earning medalist honors on Thursday and has shown her ability to make birdies and close out matches.
Sophia, a rising sophomore, is on the Tulane University Women's golf team.
Artieta defeated her best friend, Maci Williams 2 & 1 during their match this afternoon. Artieta is the number 2 seed rising senior at Walker Highschool. She has committed to play college golf at Dallas Baptist University.
Friday Semi-Final matches were full of drama and back and forth swings, including an hour weather delay

The final match is set to begin at 8am this Saturday morning at Beaver Creek Golf Course.
