Kay Daniel of Covington captured her first Women’s Senior Amateur Championship on Sunday at Tamahka Trails Golf Club. Daniel shot incredible rounds of three-under par 68 and two-under par 69 for a total of five-under 137. Eight-time champion Julie Harrison of Baton Rouge finished in second place with rounds of 74-74 for a total of 148 and Annette Samec of Sunset finished in third place with rounds of 87-85 for a total of 172. Nancy Conravey of Abita Springs won the Super Senior Division over Karen Haik of Calhoun. Geraldine McCool of Abita Springs won the Grand Super Senior Division.

Tamahka Trails Golf Club is in excellent condition and played to a par 71 at 5,102 yards.
