Leslie and Chin-Griffin Take Early Leads at Querbes Golf Course

Shreveport, LA - The 27th Louisiana Net Amateur Championship is underway at Querbes Golf Course in Shreveport, with Rawlis Leslie and Tina Chin-Griffin holding the lead after the opening round of competition.

In the Men’s Division, Leslie fired a 4-under-par 67 to take the top spot on the leaderboard. Leslie carded seven birdies during his round, making birdie on 4, 5, 7, 11, 12, 15 and 16. Eli Hart sits in second place at 2-under par, while Charles Manuel is third after posting an even-par round.

In the Women’s Division, Chin-Griffin leads the field after an impressive 1-over-par 73. She recorded birdies on 1, 14 and 16, along with back-to-back eagles on 7 and 8. April Prestenbach is currently in second place at 5-over par, followed by Nancy Knapp in third at 7-over par.

The championship will come down to the final round Sunday at Querbes Golf Course. Play begins at 7:30 a.m., with all competitors starting from the 1st tee. The final round will determine the 2026 Louisiana Net Amateur champions, with winners in both the Men’s, Women’s, and Flighted Divisions to be crowned following the completion of play.
